Before an audience of 1150 participants, live cartoonist Gertjan Kleijne drew until his fingers were green. For today he was a guest at the Meeting Day 2017 for all employees of  Staatsbosbeheer; the Dutch Forestry Commission recently named Best Public Organization of 2017.

In November Staatsbosbeheer was proclaimed Best Public Organization of 2017 by a professional expert jury. General Director Sylvo Thijsen received this award from the hands of Kajsa Ollongren, Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations in the Ridderzaal, The Hague. During the Meeting Day 2017, this was of course getting some well-deserved attention. The morning program was mainly a retrospective of 2017 and in the afternoon Staatsbosbeheer looked ahead to 2018. After the arrival of houseband the Rocking Rangers, the day came to a festive end.
