On 18 October 2018 an international conference was held at the Renaissance Hotel in Brussels on the transition to a low-CO2 EU organized by Eurometaux (European Association of Metals). Live cartoonist Floris Oudshoorn contributed to the discussion with a series of cast-iron cartoons.
Europe’s low-carbon transition will require increasing quantities of raw materials for batteries, clean mobility, and renewable energy. The Circular Economy will be an important source of domestic supply for these raw materials. We think there’s big potential for the EU to better align its circular economy & low carbon agendas in the next political cycle. Join us to debate what EU policy and market actions are required to establish a world-leading recycling industry for the raw materials our low-carbon technologies need.
