At the invitation of Maaike van Zuilen from Philogirl live-cartoonist Maaike Hartjes was present during the network breakfast of Life Sciences and Health 010. Theme: Innovation in the heart. Preventive heart care and remote monitoring of heart health are no longer developments in the future.

Cardiologist Dr. Jasper Brughts told about the innovative heart sensor: the CardioMEMS, conditionally reimbursed in the basic package since 1 April. The research is led by Dr. Jasper Brughts of the Erasmus MC: By actively monitoring the patient, the cardiologist knows whether a change of medication is needed, for example. We expect to be able to drastically reduce the number of hospital admissions. With LS&H010, the municipality of Rotterdam unites 400 companies, organizations and institutions in the economically strong Life Sciences & Health sector.
